mk:jira-bulk
What This Skill Does
Forks the jira-bulk agent to execute bulk operations across many issues — transition, assign, set-priority, clone, delete. Every bulk command MUST be invoked with --dry-run first; the user reviews the would_* JSON keys before re-invoking without --dry-run.
When to Use
- Triggers: "bulk update N issues", "mass transition", "transition 50+ issues to Done", "bulk-clone", "bulk-delete"
- NOT for: single-issue ops (
mk:jira-issue/mk:jira-lifecycle).
MANDATORY Dry-Run Workflow
Step 1 (always): invocation + --dry-run
Step 2 (always): show user would_transition / would_assign / would_delete + impacted-count
Step 3 (only after explicit "yes"): invocation without --dry-run (or with --force)Skipping Step 1 is a hard violation — bulk operations are difficult or impossible to reverse. The agent will refuse if asked to skip the dry-run.
Workflow Cache (REQUIRED for bulk transitions)
For any bulk transition op, the agent validates the target status against the discovered workflow cache:
$CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR/tasks/jira-workflows/<workflow-slug>.mdIf absent, the agent runs bash $CLAUDE_PROJECT_DIR/.claude/skills/jira/scripts/fetch-workflow.sh <KEY> first. Partial caches (_partial-<PROJ>.md from non-admin discovery) trigger a "smaller pilot batch" recommendation. See mk:jira-lifecycle/references/workflow-discovery.md.
